As parents, we totally get it, Maui family photography can feel… like a lot. You’re on vacation, your kids are living their best wild beach lives, someone forgot their swimsuit all the way across the country, and you’re probably wondering if it’s even worth it to squeeze in a photo session. Here’s the truth: it is. And not because every hair will be perfectly in place or every kid will be smiling at the same time (spoiler: they won’t). It’s worth it because these moments are your legacy.
Our Legacy Family Package isn’t about stiff poses or Pinterest-perfect smiles. It’s about capturing your family as you are, salty, silly, snuggled up, barefoot, and totally in the moment. Whether your kids are climbing rocks, collecting shells, or giving us the cutest wide-eyed stares (like these insanely attentive little ones we recently photographed, seriously, dream team!), what we’re capturing is the real stuff. The stuff you’ll look back on years from now and feel in your bones.
Chris and I have kiddos, and we know that family sessions can be unpredictable, messy, beautifully honest. That’s why our approach to Maui family photography is grounded in patience, calm, and letting your day unfold naturally. No pressure, no perfection, just love. So take a breath. Let the wind do what it wants with your hair. Let your kids run wild. And let us give you images that tell the truth of this season in your life, the good, the chaotic, the heart-bursting joy of it all.

The Legacy Family Package is all about time, making it, holding it, and preserving it in a way that feels real. It’s not a quick, smile-for-the-camera session. It’s space. Space to breathe, to connect, to play. And space for your kids to be themselves, and for you to actually be in the photos with them, fully present, no phones, no stress.
We keep things easy and relaxed, because we know what it’s like to have young kids (yep, we’ve been there too!). We know they need time to warm up, space to explore, and room to just be. So we don’t rush. We don’t force anything. And we never expect perfection.
Here’s what’s included with every Legacy session:
This session is about capturing the season you’re in. Not some perfect version of it, but the real one, where your youngest is always barefoot, and your oldest is asking big questions, and you’re just trying to freeze time for half a second. And we’re here for all of it!

We hear this a lot from parents: “We just want something chill. Nothing forced. Just… us being us.” That’s exactly what the Legacy session is built for.
No perfect outfits required. No forced smiles or meltdown shame. You don’t have to bribe your toddler or beg your kids to cooperate, we promise. You just show up, breathe, and we’ll handle the rest.
Families love this experience because it’s low-pressure, easygoing, and honestly… fun. We let your kids be kids. We give them time to warm up, space to explore, and permission to just exist, whether that means rock collecting, splashing in the tide, or sticking their tongue out in every shot (yes, we’ve seen it all and love it all). And because we’re parents too, we get it. We know the energy it takes just to get everyone out the door, let alone coordinate a family session on vacation. That’s why we show up calm, prepared, and ready for whatever unfolds.
The best part is you’ll walk away with photos that reflect the heart of your family, not just what you looked like, but how it felt to be together, here, in this season.

Let’s be honest, your camera roll is probably full of your kids. But how many photos are you in? Not selfies. Not blurry snaps someone took when you handed over your phone. I mean photos that show you with your family, actually present in the moment. That’s what this is really about.
This isn’t just another “vacation photo session.” This is your reminder that you were there too, holding hands, laughing, being silly in the sand. It’s your partner tossing the baby in the air while your oldest chases waves. It’s the real-life, real-good stuff that tends to slip through the cracks.
We don’t shoot for perfection; we shoot for presence. Because years from now, when the toys are packed away, and everyone’s taller than you, these are the photos that’ll matter. Not because your outfits were perfect (although hey, we’re happy to help with that), but because they show your people as they really were in this season.
That’s what legacy means to us. Not staged or styled to death. Just real life, well-loved, and beautifully photographed.

The Legacy Family Package is the full experience, none of that quick-in, quick-out stuff. You get a slow-paced session at a beautiful Maui location we’ll pick together, a full gallery of edited, high-res images, style guidance to help you feel prepped (but not overwhelmed), and the option to add heirloom prints or artwork if you want something off-screen and in your hands.
Right at sunrise or golden hour is where it’s at. We usually shoot around sunrise or sunset to get that soft, glowy light Maui is famous for, and to avoid the heat and harsh shadows. Plus, the vibe just feels more peaceful. Your kids can run around barefoot, the ocean sparkles a little more, and everything slows down.
Absolutely. Some of our favorite sessions include multiple generations. These photos aren’t just for now, they’re for the grandkids and the grandparents. Whether it’s everyone together or some sweet combos with the littles, we’ll make space for it all.
Honestly? That’s normal. We’re parents too, we fully get it. No one has to be “on their best behavior” here. We follow their lead, take breaks when needed, and keep it playful and pressure-free. Some of our favorite photos come from those totally unfiltered moments.
Yep, and we’ll help guide you so it doesn’t feel like another thing to stress over. Once we know your vibe (easy access beach? Tidepools? Somewhere quiet and tucked away?), we’ll share options that make sense for your family and the light. We’ve been doing this long enough to know where the good stuff is.
Something that feels like you. Once you’re booked, we’ll send you a style guide with outfit tips that photograph well (think soft colors, flowy fabrics, layers that move with the wind). But most importantly, wear something you feel good in. Comfort > fashion, always. Bonus points if the kids can run, twirl, or climb in it. Looking for more tips and inspiration? Slow mornings. Sandy toes. Barefoot toddlers chasing waves. These are the moments that slip by faster than we’d like, and that’s exactly why we do what we do. This isn’t just about taking photos on a pretty beach. It’s about pressing pause in the middle of this wild, beautiful season of life and saying, “Yeah, this. I want to remember this.”
You don’t need perfect outfits or perfectly behaved kids. You just need your people and the ocean, and we’ll take care of the rest.
