Growing up, I always dreamed of getting married in Hawaii, specifically on the beach. I’d fallen in love with the island culture and the breathtaking beauty of nature throughout the islands. Many couples choose to get married in Hawaii to experience that same beauty with friends and family. When you think of a beach wedding in Hawaii, often it’s at sunset. The warm colors from the sun setting over the Pacific Ocean and the magical glow are unbeatable. Sunrise beach weddings in Hawai’i are my favorite for a few reasons. I am absolutely SOLD for an early morning ceremony, empty beach, and cooler temps! It’s such a special time to be present while the island is waking up. You can also expect pastel colors in the sky, fewer crowds, and less harsh shadows in your photos!

Sunset in Hawaii screams romance and pure bliss. Similarly to the sunrise, a sunset allows for moments of peace and embracing the slower-paced island life. When considering sunrise or sunset for your beach wedding in Hawaii, think about the overall vibe of your day. If you choose to marry at sunset, you can expect much more golden colors, breezy winds, and busier crowds, but it is a beautiful experience. A sunset beach ceremony is what many destination wedding dreams are made of. Walking down the sandy aisle to your best friend awaiting you as the sun sets; It doesn’t get too much dreamier than that 😉
